VIII Meeting with the client!

On the 4th May we had an official meeting with our clients, Funkyst brand. During this meeting we presented the campaign we came up with: Flyers design, posters, online campaign (idea, schedule, poster), guerilla advertising, the newspaper article. They liked our ideas, but they were not impressed with the fact that we were once again only two people present. The others didn’t manage to make it, once again.

I am happy that by the end of this experience, even thought we encountered so many problems, we finished this campaign and actually managed to impress our client.

VII

I have finally managed to finish the presentation. Yes, Prezi can be a frustrating software but in the end, it has all been worth it. My group was happy with it. Once the client will approve with it as well, we are going to launch “WORLD WIDE RIDE”.

Unfortunatelly I can’t post Flash files, but i will try to upload it as a video and post it as soon as possible.

Day VI

Today me and my group came up with the storyboard for the video. We are pretty excited to spend a whole day out, following them and listening to what made them start this business in the first place. And most important, to find out where does this freshness comes from.

We have drew the storyboards and once I will scan them, ill post them on the blog. Hopefully these days we are gonna actually start filming it and editing it. Tonight I am going to start the presentation for the client in this new software I’ve discovered.

Today we have been called by a journalist from Coventry Telegraph who said that she’s interested in talking to the guys. We are extremely happy for them. Now we’re just going to be waiting on the article to be publicized.

We have also decided to link Funkyst to the Cycle event from the beginning of June. We are looking to sponsor the festival. Also, we are going go spread stickers with the brand’s logo and glue them onto the pavement in the city center.  All these events are going to be put up and kept on date throughout social networking such as Facebook, Twitter and their official Site and blog.

Day IV

Today we finally made our mind on the design of the flyers. It’s going to emphasise one of the owners of the brand, a bicycle with hipster. Once Richard will finish editing it, ill post it up on the block. Obviously we started working better within our group. We’ve also decided on presenting the campaign to the client on the 1st of may.

The questionnaire will be carried out in the same day as when we are going to hand out the flyers. And it’s planned for mid May.

We’ve also came out with an online campaign which will engage Funkyst customers in a competition. This time it won’t be based around the bike idea but more around the “World Wide ride” idea. They are going to take a picture of themselves, wearing a Funkyst product,  next to something which resembles their hometown. Due to the high number of international students from coventry.

Day II- Brainstorm ideas

Today we went supposed to meet as a group again. One of the members will not gonna be in the UK for the next week whilst the other one won’t pick up the phone. We have been warned about this kind of behavior btut being part of a team asks for sacrifices. I still met with Rawaa though and we decided, based on the budget and time frame, that we are going to come up with print advertising, guerrilla Advertising, a video which will tell the story of their brand. We’ve also been inspired by these 2 young people so we thought it will be a good idea to get in touch with Coventry Telegraph and university’s newspaper- The Buzz. If we have been impressed by them, then we’re sure some other young people will want to know their story too. 

As part of a PR campaign, we also decided to set up an event at the Hub where we could introduce Funkyst throughout the students.
